Exhibitor registration is now open for this VIRTUAL Career and Education EXPO/ Job Fair
that will be live on Thursday, February 24th, 2022 from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
If you have previously
registered for the “in person” 2021 event that was cancelled due to public
health restrictions, you do not need to register again and event information
has been emailed to you.
Exhibitors will be
provided with a FREE virtual booth that you can customize to engage with
students and job seekers from across the region spanning from Valleyview, Fox
Creek, Swan Hills, Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, Sangudo, Onoway, and Barrhead.
Sponsor's will receive a virtual 3D booth that will be showcased upon attendee
entrance into the exhibitor hall and all exhibitors will have the opportunity
to purchase a 3D booth if they are interested.
This Career and Education
EXPO is a great opportunity to recruit
local job seekers from the general public, connect with youth and students from
across the region, and assist with developing our current and future workforce
demands.
The previous "in
person" Career and Education EXPO hosted 50 exhibitors and 20 post
secondary representatives.
Over 1000 students from eight
schools across the region, and 1200 general public, including job seekers, had
an opportunity to learn about local career paths and training options.
Exhibitors who were
recruiting, received over 100 resumes from job seekers.
The primary goal of the
Career and Education EXPO is to showcase employment and career opportunities
available within our region, with the hope that youth and job seekers will
choose to either stay or return to this region for work, contribute to our
local rural economies, and address regional labour supply and demand
opportunities/challenges.
An exhibitor portal link
and tutorial video will be emailed to you upon registration and you can update/
customize your virtual booth for the big day. Simply click on the
exhibitor portal link to get started.
